The story of the 3 Printing Technology is best illustrated with the Bear Story.
1. Digital Copier - Mama Bear - (Also known as Digital Printing in smaller printshop)
The Mom loves to do small job, but quite often, is not powerful enough to handle bigger jobs or better quality.
2. Offset - Papa Bear - The Big Guy does the big jobs, very powerful, but can’t do small jobs efficiently.
They have to squeeze the small jobs onto the big machine, creating time and cost problem.
3. Digital Printing Press - The Clever Baby Bear - Papa and Mama sent the Kids to Harvard, to learn to become the best of the best.
These machines runs like Papa (offset press quality) but have all the Digital electronics features found on Mama. - The Baby is sophisticated.
But sophistication alone is still inadequate. In the Bear world, you’re still alone, too hard, too soft or too middle.
The story changed when Papa and Mama have many sons.Each son has his own talent, and they operate as a whole family including Papa and Mama. They help compliment each other, and pool their resouces together into strength . . .
